Pete Horsfall

Pete Horsfall is a London-based, award-winning jazz trumpeter, vocalist and songwriter whose quietly bold artistry has captured the attention of both critics and audiences alike. Described by Jazz FM as “truly a unique new voice” and by The Guardian as “ravishing”, his musical presence combines lyrical subtlety with a modern jazz sensibility.

Originally emerging from the UK jazz scene, Horsfall has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including Royal Albert Hall, Lincoln Center in New York, Duc des Lombards in Paris, and the famed Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London. He has recorded both as a leader and side-person, his 2017 album Nighthawks drawing praise for its nocturnal mood, rich trumpet textures and vulnerable vocal performances.

Beyond the bandstand, Horsfall is deeply committed to jazz education, leading workshops and masterclasses at institutions such as the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Trinity-Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. His versatility has also led to collaborations spanning from contemporary vocalists to hip-hop and electronic artists, revealing a creative curiosity that refuses to be boxed in.

In performance, Horsfall delivers something rare: a musician who honours the tradition of jazz trumpet and song while forging a personal, almost cinematic, voice. Whether leading his own quartet or appearing as a guest, he offers an imaginative, emotionally resonant experience that stays with you long after the final note has faded
