Already recognised as one of the most compelling young voices on the London jazz scene through his work with Tomorrow's Warriors and Ezra Collective, trumpeter and composer Dylan Jones brings together an outstanding ensemble for a deeply personal and ambitious recording. Blending the cinematic scope of film music with the freedom of jazz improvisation and the melodic power of rock, Statue is an emotionally rich collection of original compositions. Drawing inspiration from composers including Hans Zimmer, Bernard Herrmann and Thomas Newman, alongside jazz innovators such as Christian Scott, the album showcases Dylan's distinctive voice as both a composer and improviser.
