Richie Seivwright

Made in the heart of South London, Richie Seivwright is a multi-talented vocalist, trombonist, composer, songwriter & producer. From the age 16, she’s been active working with a range of artists, from Solange to Errolyn Wallen and Damon Albarn to Dave. Known for her work with UK band Kokoroko, for 8 years she toured across the world, producing events & projects. In recent years she’s delved deeper into composition and production taking a new path, developing ideas, commissions and residencies becoming a resident artist at the Horniman Museum & Gardens 2020 & a commission from New Music USA in 2021. Synchronously, this awakened the start of a journey to a higher state of awareness. To Richie, art is a lifeform, an extension of ourselves, therefore, believes creating art is one of the greatest spiritual acts we can do. Inevitably much of her recent work has been based on her outlook of society, the systems & customs that influence and rule us, exploring themes like individualism vs collectivism and reality vs delusion. The recurring constant running through the veins of her art is the need for awareness. In our rapidly advancing technological world, she creates fresh alternative projects inspired by nature, honest conversations & day to day experiences, providing a moment of pause… The aim to not influence what you think but the way you think.
